As part of our collective training team, Al Allsop and Mark Doney (Donks) provide White Force expertise to the 29 Squadron instructor team at RAF Coningsby. With Al as a combat air specialist and Donks as command and control specialist, they are responsible for building the training events and serials within the Qualified Weapons Instructor Course (QWIC), that culminate in a large exercise called STORM WARRIOR.
Drawing on their experience from extensive RAF careers and a further seven years delivering training as QWIC instructors with Inzpire, they are dedicated to progressing training tactics and procedures and responding to real-world events, to meet the RAF’s collective training objectives.
We chatted to them about their roles; how they work alongside their RAF colleagues; and what they love most about the job.
