Sqn Ldr Brian Ramsey presents King's Coronation Medal to Philip Johnston-Davis
On Thursday 18 April, we were delighted to see Philip Johnston-Davis from our RPAS & ISR Division receive his King’s Coronation Medal to recognise five years of continuous service in the RAF Intelligence Reserves.
The presentation took place at our Lincoln HQ as part of a visit by the RAF Intelligence Reserves Wing for their team meeting – a change of scenery from RAF Waddington, but an example of the ‘whole force’ life experience that is so valued by our team members who are also reservists.
On receiving his medal Philip said: “It’s subtly different for a part-time volunteer reservist to receive a medal like this. To be eligible a reservist needs to meet their annual requirement for days of duty for five years in addition to having a full-time civilian job role. I could not have qualified for the King’s Coronation Medal without the full support of Inzpire.”
We’re proud to be a committed member of the MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme, achieving the Gold level five years ago. Reflecting our strong military heritage, we actively encourage our employees to continue to serve and provide an extra 15 days of paid leave each year to conduct reservist duties. This has seen our reservist community deliver over 700 days of service over the past five years!
The medal was presented to Philip by Sqn Ldr Brian Ramsey (pictured centre) in the presence of our People Director, Rich Havercroft (L).
Many congratulations on your incredible achievement Philip!
