Inzpire has been selected to conduct a comprehensive review of training requirements for the UK's Defence Nuclear Enterprise (DNE).
This contract, awarded through the Capita Managed Learning Services Framework, will evaluate current and future DNE skills and training needs to ensure they are suitable for maintaining and modernising the UK’s nuclear deterrent capability.
Inzpire will support the DNE’s Programme Curie, which aims to replace outdated, resource-intensive residential training with a blended learning model that enhances productivity and learner engagement.
“Programme Curie is about transforming how we think about nuclear training - moving from legacy models to a modern, agile system that meets the demands of today’s Defence Nuclear Enterprise,” explains Natasha Mayger, Deputy Head of Training and Education for the DNE.
Inzpire will embed its training experts within the DNE to work alongside stakeholders at every level to enable targeted training initiatives that better serve operational needs.
Working together, teams will look to minimise training gaps and remove duplication through streamlined training pathways and continuous improvement plans informed by thorough analysis. Emphasis will be on increasing the use of digital technology and ensuring all courses align with the MOD’s Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) standards.
Inzpire will also oversee the rollout of a new nuclear awareness course, due to launch in 2026/27.
"By embracing blended learning and digital innovation, we're creating training that is more engaging, more efficient, and better suited to the needs of our people and the mission. Inzpire’s support will help us align our training portfolio with DSAT standards and deliver meaningful improvements across the enterprise," adds Natasha Mayger.
Tineke Brooks, Head of Training Services Division, Inzpire said: "This contract to deliver critical training analysis enables Inzpire to play a key role in sustaining the UK's nuclear deterrent capability.
"Our interactive collaboration allows for a deep understanding of the DNE’s training landscape. We’re looking forward to applying our expertise and innovative methodology to ensure that training outcomes are precisely tailored to the requirements for this strategically important defence programme."
