On 19 June, Inzpire moved in to its current headquarters – Landmark House in Lincoln.
Mark Boyes, our chief technology officer and one of the original founders of the company, looks back on one of the catalysts for moving to Landmark House:
“We were managing, storing and trying to configure lots of GECOs in the office at Henley Way and we just didn’t have the space. I remember sitting in the briefing room with GECO boxes towering over my head ready to fall on me with Larry – our chief engineer - trying to do software upgrades with thousands of wires covering the board room table. It was time for a move!”.
The interior infrastructure of Landmark House was designed bespoke to Inzpire – our marketing communications manager Becki remembers how it looked right at the start:
“My interview for my current role was disturbed by a loud clattering outside the interview room – it was Andy Blake, my now colleague and Inzpire’s security manager carrying the new kitchen microwave through reception, wires and plug in tow!
"The floorspace both upstairs and downstairs was marked out with rows and rows of masking tape to show where the walls would be built to make new rooms in order to turn the upstairs in to the factory space that mission systems needed to design, test and deliver all of the GECO tablets. It was really difficult during that interview to picture the bespoke working area we have now”.
