Becki has joined our new Training Services division as a training service manager.
Becki grew up in Cheshire and studied Theatre Studies at Derby University. After graduating in 1999, Becki worked in performing arts and touring theatre production which included several stints at the Edinburgh Festival. She moved into HR and learning and development in 2002 working first in outdoor education in Weymouth and then with Mark Warner Ltd at resorts in Turkey, France and Greece. In 2005 she moved into training design and delivery with Artifax in Epsom on their venue and event management software.
Becki has RAF in her blood - 3 of her grandparents served - which influenced her decision to explore a military career. Her experience began in 1996 when she joined East Midlands OTC while at university. She then became an Army reservist in 2005.
Becki joined the RAF in regular service in 2008 and served for 12 years as a personnel training officer. Throughout her military career, Becki has managed, designed and delivered training across a wide range of subjects including cultural awareness, security, intelligence, explosive ordnance disposal, engineering, physical education, personal development and training delivery. Becki has deployed overseas several times; on Op KIPION in 2013 and then later providing military training consultancy to partner nations while embedded in short-term training teams.
Highlights of Becki's military career include her time with the Op HERRICK pre-deployment training team at the Force Protection Centre, RAF Honington. There she designed and delivered the new Pashto culture and language training capability and was awarded a commendation for her work. Becki was also involved in the establishment of 1ISR Wg at RAF Waddington in 2016 where she led the work to capture the wing’s full training requirement and produce a training management system in line with Defence Systems Approach to Training. Becki’s final tour was at RAF Boulmer where she was very proud to lead Force Development Squadron in the delivery of physical education, military skills training, and the personal and professional development of station personnel.
Becki also led the RAF100 campaign for RAF Boulmer; a 6-month community engagement in the north east of England. During her time in the RAF Becki continued to study and gained a postgraduate diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management and also chartered membership of CIPD.
Outside of work Becki enjoys running, swimming and getting out and about in the great outdoors, especially the Lake District. She also loves to travel overseas and enjoys scuba diving in warm-water, high-visibility destinations!
Welcome to Inzpire Becki. We are delighted to have you on board with us!
