We’re delighted to welcome Bryony Stewart to the Inzpire family. Bryony joins us as a senior training consultant with 10 years’ experience as a secondary school teacher and leader in physical education.
After completing her studies at the University of Birmingham with an undergraduate degree in Sport and Education and a postgraduate PGCE, Bryony moved to North London to start her teaching career. She began her career with a first job in Camden, including time as a pastoral lead and as deputy head of year; she prides herself on her continued efforts in this job to provide as many opportunities for girls in sport as possible. She supported pupils in attending London trials in netball, athletics, and trampolining, with a number of hopefuls going on to compete for their city. Alongside many training sessions and fixtures, Bryony completed her MA in Education, studying the effects of intrinsic motivation on fitness and healthy lifestyles.
Making the dubious choice of marrying a military man, their adventures moved them to Portsmouth. Here Bryony’s career continued to grow, rising to eventually become head of department for a large secondary school in the Hampshire area, responsible for a highly dynamic and motivated department. Her educational expertise lies in the study of biomechanics with a focus on examination subjects and higher education. As the school moved towards a multi-academy trust, Bryony became director of Academic PE across two schools, with the additional task of expanding access to higher education courses available to pupils joining the sixth form college.
Alongside her teaching experience, Bryony has an eclectic range of hobbies ranging from sport to dress making with an interest in fabric design and making her own clothes. She has also regularly competed in Try-Tag Rugby within London and has tasted high-level sporting success in her youth, competing for GB in gymnastics at international events.
Bryony currently resides in Northwood, London for a short spell but looks forward to moving back to Hampshire when the time comes. With her husband, they share a cocker spaniel and two deceivingly cute children (don’t let them fool you). As Bryony returns to the working world following maternity leave, she is excited to start her new journey with Inzpire. She is always looking to develop her teaching and learning skills to stay current with education, never more important than in a post-COVID world as you never know when home schooling will come around again! She is enthusiastic about working with new people, developing strong customer relationships and thinking creatively to come up with new ideas and strategic solutions.
Bryony hopes she can utilise her past experiences and education skills to add to the already high quality in the Training Services Division.
