We are delighted to welcome Mike Toft to Inzpire's training services team.
Mike joins us as our very first digital learning developer.
Mike is a former Royal Air Force navigator. His first tour was on the electronic countermeasures Canberra T17 before rerolling to the Tornado GR1. It was with XV Squadron based in Germany that he saw action throughout the Gulf War. Afterwards Mike became a Qualified Navigation Instructor teaching low-level radar navigation. His last tour in the air was with II(AC) Squadron flying the Tornado GR1A in the reconnaissance and attack role. Mike adds 3200 hours to the accumulative Inzpire logbook!
Mike served in PJHQ before being promoted to Wing Commander and selected for Staff College. On graduation, he was posted to the Ministry of Defence in an information operations role before commanding Royal Air Force Spadeadam, the UK’s Electronic Warfare training facility in Cumbria. Post command he returned to the Joint Service Command and Staff College, this time as directing staff on the Advanced Command and Staff Course.
It was here where he introduced and developed learning technologies for the course. Mike was awarded a Joint Force Commander's Commendation for transforming professional military education with digital learning technologies. Since leaving the RAF Mike became a web developer and consultant of learning technologies.
Welcome to the Inzpire family, Mike!
