We are delighted to welcome Rachel Lobban to our support services division.
Rachel joins us as a recruitment and on-boarding assistant having recently graduated from the University of Lincoln with a BSc (Hons) in Business Psychology.
During her time at University, Rachel studied key elements of psychology such as neuropsychology, alongside business topics including as marketing and strategic management. Rachel was drawn to this degree due to the combination of modules, which she is now looking forward to appluying to her new role at Inzpire. The topics she enjoyed most during her studies centred around employee wellbeing, and recruitment processes.
Rachel's studies allowed her to complete a number of assignments specific to the workplace environment, and human resource management was a particular topic of interest in her final year, where she chose to focus her assessment on the importance of a business having a systematic recruitment and selection process. For Rachel's dissertation, she completed an extensive study in to the effects of emotional labour on job satisfaction and 'burnout' of part-time workers.
Rachel also applied her studies to assessments where she worked alongside local organisations, including working as part of a small team with the charity C.L.E.A.N (Clean Lincoln Everywhere and Now). Rachel led this project and organised a large-scale litter pick around the Sincil Bank area of the city. Rachel and her team worked to get over 60 people involved in the litter pick and give the charity the publicity it deserved.
During her summer holidays, Rachel has been implementing her studies in workplace environments by taking up a number of temporrary roles, including working as an administrator at local firm Cool Milk. Rachel also completed a work experience programme in the HR department at Praxair.
