We’re delighted to welcome Stuart Minton to Inzpire, as our new Safety Advisor!
Stuart is a health and safety specialist with over nine years’ experience in the field, gained in the manufacturing, engineering, oil & gas and defence industries.
Stuart joined the RAF in 1984 as a supplier, and in his 12 years served at various establishments including RAF Marham, Wildenrath during the Gulf War and Brize Norton.
After leaving the RAF, Stuart worked as the stores supervisor (touring cars) and then F1 materials buyer for TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing), Arrows GP, in Oxfordshire. Before Arrows GP folded, Stuart joined the Staffordshire police force, and then moved to Thames Valley Police back in Oxfordshire as a patrol officer in 2004.
In early 2006, Stuart successfully passed the selection process to join the South Australian Police, and in late 2006 was patrolling the sunny coastal areas of Henley Beach and Glenelg (for those that know South Australia). Stuart’s wife Jane, their 3 dogs and 2 cats joined him in early 2007, where they both became fully fledged Australian citizens and Stuart was promoted after becoming a prosecutor.
After returning to the UK in 2012 to Lincolnshire, and getting back into health & safety, Stuart’s most recent roles have included working for Cobham Aviation, now Draken Europe, on the E-3 AWACS Sentry project at RAF Waddington as a SHE Advisor. He also worked for RSK Group Ltd as a SHEQ Advisor, managing and onboarding various business units onto the ISO 14001 and 45001 managements systems.
While he was growing up, Stuart played international schoolboy football at Under 18’s level for Wales for two seasons, and also had trials with other local clubs, Chester and Everton FC. In his spare time now, he enjoys walking the dogs and following the ‘mighty’ Leeds United!
Welcome to Inzpire Stuart – we’re thrilled to have you with us!
