It’s our pleasure to welcome Stuart Milne to Inzpire as a combat air subject matter expert.
Stuart joined the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde Air Squadron as a pilot bursar while studying Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics at the University of Glasgow. After flying training, he was posted to the Tornado GR4 at RAF Marham and conducted over 100 combat missions as part of OP SHADER, before the Tornado was retired in April 2019.
Stuart was then selected for an exchange role with the United States Air Force, flying the B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. He deployed with the B-2 globally, flying sorties that could last over 24 hours and qualified as a B-2 Instructor, Evaluator and Mission Commander. Alongside operating the B-2, he was fortunate to also fly the T-38A Talon as part of the Companion Trainer Program.
Posted to 92 Sqn in 2022 as a desk officer within the Air and Space Warfare Centre, Stuart specialised in air-surface weapons, low observables, and electronic warfare. He also worked closely with Inzpire to deliver Cobra Warrior 23-2, the largest air exercise in Europe. We’re delighted he’s now chosen to join the team!
Stuart lives in Lincolnshire with his wife Sarah, daughter Hannah and Golden Retriever Dougal. He enjoys running, swimming, and travelling.
