We’re pleased to welcome Scott Holliday-Stevens “H-S” to Inzpire.
H-S joins us as a combat air subject matter expert (SME) after serving 14 years in the Royal Air Force and a further two and half years working in the Middle East.
Initially joining the RAF straight from school, H-S conducted flying training and was streamed to fly fast jets and ultimately the Typhoon in 2012. During his first tour on 6 Squadron (Sqn) at RAF Leuchars, he became one of the youngest ever combat ready Typhoon pilots and conducted Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) duties both within the UK and overseas in the Falkland Islands and Baltics.
After finishing his first tour he was selected to train as a Qualified Weapons Instructor (QWI) where he joined XI(F) Sqn at RAF Coningsby as their SME on tactical employment of Typhoon, including on deployed operations. Following this he was posted back to 29 Sqn to become one of the members of staff on the QWI course, where he was responsible for helping to train the next generation of tactical experts on the Typhoon, alongside the Inzpire team as part of 29 Sqn.
Upon promotion in 2018, he was posted to 92 Sqn within the Air and Space Warfare Centre as the Typhoon platform desk officer. He was responsible for overseeing all tactics and training for the Typhoon within the RAF and advising senior commanders on the employment of combat air assets across the world. As part of this he worked closely alongside Inzpire again delivering multiple exercises such as Cobra Warrior. Upon leaving the RAF in 2021, H-S spent two and half years as a Typhoon instructor pilot in the Middle East before returning to the UK earlier this year.
H-S lives in Lincolnshire with his wife Ellen, two young children and German Shepherd Leo. With the little free time he has left, he enjoys trying (and failing) to lower his golf handicap!
